Kenya e-Learning Centre (KeLC) is a Public Private partnership to promote e-Learning for capacity building in Kenya.
Vision
To be the leading centre of convergence of e-Learning solutions in Africa with a view to facilitating the sharing of expertise and services to promote and sustain quality e-Learning for all.
Mission
Facilitate and harmonize the activities of the various stakeholders involved in capacity building, content development, quality assurance and infrastructure development in order to ensure sustainable and relevant e-Learning for all.
The Mandate
KeLc is a multi-stakeholder initiative whose aim is to empower stakeholder institutions on the adoption and use of e-learning. This is in line with the national development objectives as spelt out in ‘Vision 2030’ and the Millennium development goals (MDGs).
Goal
The overall goal of KeLC is to provide a mechanism to leverage existing synergies for e-Learning development in Kenya..
More specifically KeLC will endeavour to facilitate:
- The development, review, evaluation and sharing of e-Learning materials
- ICT integration in capacity building activities among stakeholder institutions
- Local, regional and international collaboration in e-Learning including the exchange of expertise and good practices.
